Leather Jackets - Elton John (1986)

Don't bother.

Elton John considers Leather Jackets to be his worst album. With his personal life and (lack of) sobriety a mess, it’s not hard to understand what went wrong. What John needed at this point was a break, which he would take during the next year, after recording this album. Unfortunately that means I have to listen to it.

Some of the songs are ok. I kind of like Don’t Trust That Woman. But the album is forgettable.

Though I think the title of his worst album belongs to Victim of Love, I pretty much agree with John. Leather Jackets kinda sucks. The world would be no poorer if they hadn’t bothered. I give it 1 star.
